Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 8, 2025
Last Updated: October 8, 2025

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Tellus Cooperative Foundation and Bastian's Creative Studio LLC, including their affiliates and associated brands (collectively, "we," "us," or "our"), collect, use, and share information when you use the Passport platform ("Platform"), including our websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of information in accordance with this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide or that is automatically gathered through your interaction with the Platform, including:

a. Account & Identification Data

  • • Wallet addresses and public blockchain identifiers.
  • • GitHub usernames or handles linked to your account.
  • • Email address or contact information (when provided for login or communication).
  • • KYC information (only when required for specific bounty payouts or regulatory compliance).

b. Event & Usage Data

  • • Event participation data such as QR code scans, stamp collection, and task completions.
  • • Technical data such as browser type, device information, operating system, IP address, and timestamp of activity.
  • • Analytics data gathered through Plausible Analytics, which operates without invasive tracking and does not use personally identifiable cookies.

c. Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal cookies and browser storage for session management, authentication, and analytics as described in our Cookie Policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • • Provide, maintain, and improve the Passport platform.
  • • Verify participation, contributions, and rewards across events and bounties.
  • • Enable wallet-based identification and on-chain recordkeeping.
  • • Communicate updates, technical notices, or security alerts.
  • • Comply with legal obligations, including tax and anti-fraud requirements.
  • • Analyze engagement trends and aggregate metrics for ecosystem growth reporting.

We may also use anonymized or aggregated information for research, reporting, and public communications about ecosystem activity.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. However, we may share limited information as follows:

  • Service Providers: We may engage trusted third parties (e.g., hosting, analytics, storage, KYC vendors) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Partners and Sponsors: In the context of specific events, we may share aggregated, non-personal performance metrics with event partners (e.g., number of participants, completion rates).
  • Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or reorganization, user data may be transferred under the same protective terms.

4. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. Wallet addresses and participation records may persist on-chain indefinitely, consistent with blockchain immutability.

5. Security

We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no online platform can guarantee absolute security, and you acknowledge this risk by using the Services.

6. International Transfers

All primary data processing occurs in the United States. By using the Services from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the U.S. under this Policy.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Requests can be sent to legal@telluscoop.org. We will respond within a reasonable time frame consistent with applicable law.

8. Updates

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
